Pete Todd the author of PALE originally added this text to the wiki.

PALE is the first (and so far ONLY) emulator I've written, although I'm wondering if I can cram a zx81 into a Sharp Wizard. I haven't touched a real Lynx since about 1988 before I went to college. I wrote the emulator simply because there wasn't anything else around for the windows platform though Paul Robson has written an emulator called CAMLYNX for DOS. I'm currently working on adding Lynx128 into PALE, in between my day job as a juggler :)
