Davis Jansons
From CamputersLynx.info
Davis Jansons (I have seen his surname spelt Jansen, Jansens and Jansan but I believe that Jansons is the correct spelling) was the ROM coder. At least one version of the Lynx ROMs contain the signature strings "Davis" and "Susy" (I heard through the grapevine that Susy(Susan/Sue) was the name of Davis's then girlfriend/wife although I don't know this for a fact).
I believe that Davis coded the ROM from scratch on his own in a remarkably short timespan (not longer than 4 months, actually I believe it was only 6 weeks but not 100% sure) especially considering he didn't have access to the Lynx hardware but instead coded it on a TRS-80 (model 3 I believe) although this might just be urban myth.
I Spoke to Davis several times in the mid 80s about the lynx and the roms, he was very helpful and he was the first person I knew who had a computerized answering machine.
